The Will Run For Food 5K is an annual event held the end of February to raise money for Rowan Helping Ministries West. 2025 was the 12th annual race and raised $10,000.00 to help alleviate hunger in the West Rowan Community.

RHM-W is a food bank in the Mt Ulla community which is part of Rowan Helping Ministries that is strongly supported by Centenary Church through donations and volunteers.
Annual Red Cross Blood Drive held in June. Donate Blood. Help Save Lives.
Centenary participates in the Iredell county Alzheimers walk to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s disease, research and support.
West Rowan Bible Teachers Association supports the Bible classes conducted in the West Rowan public schools. The classes are taught from an educational, cultural and historical perspective as we seek to broaden the education of the students through studying a book that has greatly influenced much of western civilization.
Rowan One Church One Child (ROCOC) is a partnership between Rowan County Department of Social Services (RCDSS) and Rowan County churches and civic organizations. ROCOC strives to ensure healthy, safe, and protective outcomes for Rowan County children and teens who are victims of abuse, neglect, dependency, and/or poverty.
